1. No bashing of ANYONE in the club for a pairing they like or don't like or for their artwork or fanfiction. repeat offenders will be blocked/banned from the club.
2. No Favoriting submitted fanart or fanfiction. Please only favorite the the work DIRECTLY from the artist's gallery.(If any member or other dA user repeatedly faves club pics, they will be blocked and banned from the club, no questions asked.)
3. Please only add us to your deviant watch if you plan on joining and adding our icon to your page. we can't really enforce it, but we'd like only people who are interested in joining this club to add us to our deviant watch. It's just a little disappointing for me as the club founder finding people adding us to their dev. watch, but not joining; since this club is attempting to grow. Only people who have noted us to join, added us to their devwatch, and added our icon or devlink to their page or signature are official members and can participate in the club.

Fanart and Fanfiction Submission Rules:
1. Give permission for this club to showcase your artwork in its gallery by putting our icon in the "deviation comment box" as you post your deviation to deviant art.
2. Send a note titled, "submission" in the subject line and a link to the deviation in the body of the note.
3. Must have Gaara in it, but is not limited to him.
4. you may submit mature rated entries, but not all members or dA users will be to see them. Also entries that are just nothing but pure smut will be ignored.
5. NEVER try to submit artwork that is not your's, unless it is someone else's line art that you had gotten the original artist's explicit permission (the original artist has to mention that you have specific permission to color it, or you have commented on the artist's line art that you want to color asking for permission and that they have given you permission; make a screen capture of that and upload it to a photo-hosting site and provide the link to it in you the deviation comment)
You'll recieve a note when your submission has been posted, but please be patient.
All works submitted WILL have a link back to the original, so please click on that link if you want to comment it and/or favorite it!

Contests Submission Rules:
1. Give the club permission to showcase your entry it its gallery much the same way as a regular submission.
2. Send a note entitled, "contest submission" in the subject line and the link to the deviation in the body of the note.
3. You may submit fanart, fan-comic, or fanfiction, but they MUST be rated from K-T so every member of the club regardless of age may view it and vote.
4. All Contest entries MUST in some way follow the theme of the contest.
5. Each member may only submit ONE entry per category.
6. Since this is a newer club and can't afford to give out subscriptions as prizes at this time, each winner of each category shall be featured for one week and will get one request Gaara fanart from me. 2nd and 3rd place winners will have their contest submission featured on on the club's journal for one full month.
*Contests will usually take place every 2-3 months.

1. You must be a member of the club to vote.
2. Send us a note entitled, "Vote" in the subject line and tell us the name of the artist and contest submission you wish to vote for. (or if a poll for voting is available, use it)
3. You may only vote for one submission, once, per category.
4. If you entered a contest, you may still vote, but NOT for yourself.
5. No recruiting people or friends to vote for you or bribing for votes. if a contestant is found to be recruiting votes they will be disqualified from the contest.

First off, I'd like to welcome our newest affiliate: :icongaara-fans:! Check out their Gaara club and join if you wish!
Second, I'd like to again congradulate the winners from our Halloween contest, once again! And thanks to all the partipants for entering the contest and making it possible! I'm still working on the club new I.D. to thank each and every member for helping keep this club alive. This club would be nothing without all of you! :thankyou:
The final thing I have to add is below the featured contest entries in this journal are the rules and details for the next contest. I added one extra prize for 2nd place winners, which will be custom-made stamps. I want to do more for 3rd place winners but I'm not sure what I could do outside of art requests, subscription gifts, and stamps. If anyone wants to suggest a 3rd place prize, comment in this journal entry. Also in this contest, remember, you have 3 chances to win, not only can you submit 1 fanart, but also 1 short fanfiction, and 1 fan-comic. The more categories you enter, the more chances you have to win.

:bulletred:The start of the entry period is November 20th and ends on December 25th at midnight. Deadline extensions will only be made in extreme cases such as: a majority of participants need just a little more time to finish their entry, or one participant needs a day or so to finish up their entry. (if either is the case, note the club).
:bulletred:To send in your entry, send a NOTE entititled "Contest Submission" and a link to the entry in the body of the note.
:bulletred:There will be three entry categories and participants may enter one submission for each category. The Categories are: fanart, short-fanfiction (please only a maximum of 4,000 words), and fan comic. Each category will be judged separately, only if there are more than one entry to each category.
:bulletred:Submissions must feature Gaara, but may also contain other naruto characters (Gaara's siblings, het. [OC] or yaoi pairings, or just friendship) celebrating X-mas, exchanging gifts, snow fights, snowy scenes. All submissions MUST be rated from K-T so everyone has a chance to vote.
:bulletred:ONLY members may vote, and so may contest entrants (as long and they don't vote for their own work or recruit other members to vote for them, each vote must be unbiased and not due to friendships, if it is suspected that this is going on entrants may be disqualified from the contest). Members will be able to vote through a poll that will be sent to their deviantart message boxes.
:bulletred:First place Winner of each category will win a free art request of their choosing from me, the founder [ *Red-Tora ] and spend 3 weeks on the club's featured section. All second place winners will recieve a custom-made stamp to their specifications from me and will have their winning deviation featured for 1 week on the club's featured section and have it featured for 1 month in the club's journal. 3rd place winners will have their entry featured up on the club's featured section for 1 week, and have it featured on the club's journal for one month. In the event that a member is voted as winner in two categories, (such as fanart and short-fanfiction or fan-comic) they will only win for the fanart category and the second highest voted in the other category will be pushed up to first place. That will be done so that others have a chance at winning.

This is a Sabaku no Gaara club, for fans of him to converge. *Red-Tora created this club, because,
she saw a few other Gaara and/or sandsibling clubs on dA and wanted to make her own. Plus she wanted to
meet more people of the fandom. This club allows any artwork or fanfic containing Gaara as the main character,
but doesn't limit artwork to just him. Artwork may also contain his siblings, other Naruto characters, Gaara in
different Naruto pairings (I allow even Yaoi pairings as long as they are within our rating range), and also may include OCs. We'll also hold contests every once in awhile. So feel free
to look around, and if interested, please join!
